Admission deadlines and important datesThe Admission and Registration Unit announces the deadline for receiving applications, taking into account that the admission period for the first semester starts in the middle of June and ends in the middle of August. Whereas, the admission period for the second semester ends in the middle of January.
The Admission and Registration Department may receive applications after the deadline, by decision of the College Board, if there are available seats.
Admission requirements and documents
The college council determines the college capacity for each semester in accordance with the admission policies approved by the Board of Trustees. The council develops a mechanism to accept the best students, when the number of applicants exceeds the capacity.
The college accepts students who meet the admission requirements of any nationality. In the case of competition due to limited academic seats, priority is given to the best students. When they are equal, priority is given to citizens.
For students to be accepted in the undergraduate programs, they must have a high school diploma; the elite, the advanced or the general stream, or its equivalent, and their final grades shall be as follows:
60% at least for bachelor of Sharia
75% at least in the elite stream, 80% in the advanced stream, and 85% in the general stream for bachelor of Law
Fractions are considered whole numbers, when the high school average is (84.5) (79.5) (74.5) (59.5)
Students who get a high school diploma outside the country, at a British or an American high school, or IB may be accepted in accordance with the decisions of the Ministry of Education that regulate the admission of students to local universities. The college may also accept students who have Sharia high school certificates, provided that their average is not less than 60%. They may be accepted for Bachelor of Sharia not law.
The college may accept students who have a high school diploma or Sharia high school certificate with an average less than (60%) to (55%) for bachelor of Sharia not bachelor of law, provided that they enroll in a foundation program for two full semesters and get (60%) at least in all of its courses. Students of the foundation program are not entitled to enroll in any course of Bachelor of Sharia before that. The courses of the foundation program for two full semesters are defined as follows:

6. The college does not accept students who have industrial, commercial, or technical high school certificates, nor does it accept or equalize any academic achievement based on qualifying or training courses or programs.
7. When new students apply to enroll at the college, their high school certificates must have been obtained no more than five years prior to the date of application. The college council may accept some applicants who have got their high school certificates more than five years prior to the date of application, provided that they have enough professional and academic qualifications from courses or other similar sources.
8. The following documents are required for new applications:
1. A certified copy of the high school certificate with the academic transcript
2. EMSAT test in Arabic language with an average of at least (1000) for Bachelor of Law
3. EMSAT test in English language with an average of (950) at least, or (IELTS-4.5) (written TOFEl Exam - 400) (IB-60) for Bachelor of Law
4. A copy of the passport and the family book for citizens of the state, or a copy of the passport and residence for residents
5. A medical fitness certificate including a blood test report
6. A recommendation from the school where the student graduated
7. A signed pledge to abide by the laws of the college
8. A signed pledge to study full-time at the college
9. Six recent colored personal photos
10. EMSAT test in mathematics with an average of (800) at least, for Bachelor of Law.
11. EMSAT test in English Language with an average of (950) at least, for Public Law and Private Law Master Programs.
Placement Test and Foundation Program
All applicants for bachelor programs, who got high school averages as mentioned above and meet the aforementioned requirements, must take a placement exam in the following subjects:
Arabic language (analysis, writing, and I'rab)
English Language (Writing and Grammar)
Fundamentals of Sharia
Students, applying for Bachelor of Sharia, who got a high school average of less than (60%) to (55%), do not take this exam (Placement exam). They directly enroll in the foundation program.
According to the decisions of the college council, the Admission and Registration unit organizes placement tests no later than the twenty-fifth of August for the first semester and the twenty-fifth of January for the second semester. Then, it announces the results to students.
To pass this exam, an applicant must get (60%) in each of the following exams: Arabic language, fundamentals of Sharia and English language.
Students who get less than (60%) in Arabic language, fundamentals of Sharia and English language exams, enroll in an intensive remedial program that includes studying language subjects (Arabic and English) and basic Sharia subjects. They shall complete this program in one or two semesters at most and pass the exam after finishing the program.
The Admission and Registration Unit provides the college council with a list of the students enrolled in the remedial program no later than the first of September for the first semester, and the first of February for the second semester, so that the council can take necessary actions to start the remedial program in time.
Students who successfully complete the intensive remedial program could enroll in an undergraduate program whenever they are able to do so; in the first or second semester. During the remedial program, students may enroll in some courses of Bachelor of Sharia or Bachelor of Law, provided that the remedial program is not a prerequisite for them.
