Admission and Registration

The basis for the work of the Admission and Registration Unit, according to the mission and objectives of the college, is respecting students as they are the most important element in the college. Therefore, all employees of the Admission and Registration Unit help students and direct them to academic advisors to familiarize them with the system of the college to be registered properly as quickly as possible.

By the beginning of the registration period, the Admission and Registration Unit, in cooperation with the Student Affairs Department, organizes introductory activities for new students to familiarize them with the programs, facilities, and procedures of registration and academic guidance. 

 

The Board of Trustees sets admission policies as recommended by the college council, and issues annual decisions regarding the number and quality of the admitted students. The Admission and Registration Unit implements these policies and decisions in coordination with the academic departments in terms of academic guidance, academic load, programs and exam results.

The admission and registration Unit assumes the following responsibilities:

  1. Implementing the approved policies for admission and registration, organizing announcements for student recruitment, developing the college manual in coordination with those concerned, and coordinating the calendar through the deliberations of the college council

  2. Receiving applications within the deadlines and verifying their compliance with the requirements, recording the applicants’ academic options, organizing placement exams, providing the department head with lists of the students admitted to the bachelor’s degree or the foundation program, and uploading the data to the e-program prepared for this

  3. Coordinating schedules and classes with the academic affairs in light of the academic loads given to the students and the maximum capacity of mutual elective, compulsory and specialized courses, and increasing\reducing academic loads within the deadlines specified in each semester

  4. Organizing students' records and documenting consistently the results of their tests, their academic development, and everything related to the student as decisions and warnings issued against him.

  5. Organizing examination halls, preparing lists of students and their seating numbers in coordination with the heads of academic departments, documenting students’ test results in semester courses as submitted by the college council, and approving them for registration in the following semesters.

  6. Issuing the students’ cumulative averages, academic warnings for students who fall behind in order to improve their academic achievement in coordination with the heads of academic departments, and honor lists of outstanding students

  7. Implementing the policies in light of the student's cumulative averages, in coordination with the academic departments and academic advisors, that determine the academic loads and the courses allowed for the student in the next semester, as they should fit his\her capabilities

  8. Preparing the lists of graduates and making sure that they complete all the academic requirements needed to obtain a bachelor’s degree, and submitting them documented to the head of the department to be reviewed, and then recommending the college council to approve them.

  9. Preparing certificates and graduation documents, and collecting signatures of the Executive Vice President, the Dean and the CEO

  10. Any other related tasks assigned by the head of the Student Affairs Department
